Brighton Grand Hotel Mirror Lighting Design

Working with the lovely Park Grove interior designers, we specified and supplied the lighting for the Ladies Powder Room at the famous Brighton Grand in early 2016.

The key technical challenge was to provide an even illumination around the oval mirrors, avoiding all LED chip spotting, keep the colour temperature very warm and making them all dimmable for optimum control when commissioning. They had to be safe to use close to the sinks too.

The solution was found with a product intended for external use, a high pitch LED tape embedded during manufacture into a highly flexible silicone creating an homogenous line of light providing a neon like even glow.

Rated at IP66 the system was waterproof. We provided the precise cut lengths to simplify the installation.

The hand dryer trough and ceiling coffer were a 2700K LED using our Osram 24V tape.
