The Forum Conference Suites were a £2.5 million refurbishment of an unoccupied floor  within Fairview Hotel Group’s IBIS in Stevenage.  Given a blank canvas, we provided the lighting design that impacted the interior design, supplied all the lighting and managed the installation throughout.

Key lighting decisions:

  • 6 large coffers (18m x 5m) were created each with RGB colour mixing LED around the perimeter.
  • Creation of striking horizontal lines of light around the walls by hiding LED tape within bespoke extrusion. By day the walls and columns come to life, by night at a function these lines become a major feature and echo the colour lines of the coffer.
  • Scene sets for multi functional use  and sub division of the open plan space for multiple use of the rooms.
  • 2700K dimmable LED downlights
  • Design of the bar, Reception, Side Lounge and WC’s.
